At the heart of this spectacularly detailed gold choker is a detailed circular unit, dressed in polki/uncut diamonds, using the traditional jadai technique. The green khula meena (open enamel), painted using the champlevé technique highlights the brilliance of the diamonds through contrast, ensuring the eye is drawn to the center.
Parallel lines of strands of seed pearls hold the central unit in place. The lines are crafted with pirai, the art of stringing beads using a thin gold wire or yarn.
